Strengthening Employer Feedback Channels: Read the Report

Employers play a key role in advancing Canada’s immigration goals, from recruitment to retention, yet their voices and frontline contributions are insufficiently integrated into immigration and settlement policies.

The Strengthening Employer Feedback Channels (SEFC) Project aimed to address this gap by creating structured, intentional pathways for employers to share feedback and co-design solutions. This national initiative positions employers as active partners in shaping more effective immigration and #workforce integration outcomes.

Led by the Immigrant Employment Council of BC and delivered in collaboration with the Immigrant Employment Councils of Canada (IECC), the SEFC Project engaged employers across the country to surface local insights and system-level challenges. We’re grateful to our regional partners for leading these efforts: Calgary Region Immigrant Employment Council (IEC), Edmonton Region IEC, Saskatoon Open Door Society, Rural Manitoba IEC, Toronto Region IEC, Workforce Collective, New Brunswick Multicultural Council, and Halifax Partnership. Thank you to all the employers and system actors who helped move this initiative forward!
