BIO: Stuart Melaia

Stuart is a Senior Client Partner with Korn Ferry, a global organizational consulting firm and the world’s leading executive search firm. Since joining the firm in 2007, Stuart has worked closely with clients in synchronizing strategy and talent to drive superior performance. Stuart advises clients globally on talent management strategies designed to attract, develop, and retain the right executives to bring their strategies to life.

He is a member of Korn Ferry’s Global Industrial practice, and he partners primarily with clients and their boards within the basic materials, manufacturing and transportation sectors, including process industries such as mining, forest products, energy, paper & packaging and steel. His expertise in global and cross-border execution have imbued him with an appreciation for the challenges of attracting and integrating top executive talent into British Columbia.

Stuart is an immigrant himself, having grown up in an Italian family in South Africa and relocated to Vancouver in 2006. Although he trained as a lawyer, Stuart has been in talent management since 1995 when he commenced his career with a boutique firm specializing in the wireless technology and telecommunications sectors.

Stuart has lived and worked in Africa, Europe and North America and he speaks English, Italian, French and Afrikaans. He holds Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.

Stuart lives in Vancouver with his wife Xenia, and he is active within the immigrant community in BC.
