Jay Schlosar is currently the Director of Social Management and Responsibility for Teck Resources, Vancouver.
In this role, he is responsible for providing leadership and guidance on the development and implementation of corporate community and social management programs and policies in support of Teck’s short- and long-term corporate sustainability goals related to communities.
Previous to this role, Jay spent 15 years as a senior leader and public administrator with the Government of British Columbia, where he most recently held the role of Assistant Deputy Minister, Local Government and Inspector of Municipalities. Prior to that position, he held a number of senior roles with the Province including Deputy Chief of Staff to the Premier and provincial Cabinet.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Victoria. He also serves as Chair of the Board of the Madrona School Society, an independent non-profit school. He lives in Vancouver with his wife, Tamara, and his son, Linus.
