In an energy industry career spanning 40 years David has conducted business in over 16 countries. He has managed various forms of business and has established a strong external reputation in the energy industry. David was appointed the President of Woodfibre LNG Ltd in August 2018 to lead the building and operation of the project in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. In December 2020, he retired from the leadership role but remains on as a strategic advisor for the project.
Previously, as the BC LNG Alliance’s President from 2014 to 2018, David had responsibility for promoting and developing a robust LNG export industry in British Columbia that is safe, and environmentally and socially responsible.
Prior to joining the Alliance, David was with BG Group for 10 years serving as Vice President, Policy and Corporate Affairs for the Americas and Global LNG Region. Before joining BG, he was with Dynegy Inc. as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Dynegy Europe. He also spent nine years as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army.
David is a cum laude graduate of Kansas State University and holds a BS in Business Administration. He is married, has two grown children and two grandchildren and lives in Bainbridge Island, WA.
